The use of salt for beauty has a long history across many countries.
People have traditionally used deep sea bath salts to cleanse their faces and feet, turning bath salts into a popular skincare product due to their natural ingredients, gentle fragrance, and exceptional effectiveness.
Bath salts typically consist of herbs, natural sea salt, minerals, and essential oils. They are packed with essential trace elements like iron, calcium, selenium, and magnesium that our bodies need.
These salts offer deep cleansing, moisturizing, hydration, improved circulation and metabolism, stress relief, and fatigue reduction. They aren't just for baths; you can use them for facial cleansing, hand care, foot treatments, and soothing neck and shoulder massages.
Here's how bath salts work:
1. Salt permeates the skin, promoting blood circulation and metabolism while removing excess water, toxins, and fats from pores, which can aid in weight loss and slimming.
2. Salt acts as an exfoliant, eliminating dead skin cells on the surface, slowing down skin aging, and rejuvenating the skin's health.
3. Bath salts contain minerals that offer sterilization and anti-inflammatory properties.
4. They also contain antioxidant components that boost the skin's natural defense mechanisms.
Choosing the right bath salts depends on your skin type and specific needs:
- For sensitive skin, opt for finer particles and products with vitamins, minerals, and essential oils.
- If you have neutral or oily skin, products containing grape oil, citrus, or lemon ingredients are suitable.
- Dry skin benefits from bath salts containing rose essential oil.
Natural deep sea bath salts with various trace elements are excellent for various skin benefits, including pore shrinkage.
For those prone to back acne, consider using bath salts for a weekly massage, but be gentle. If you want to exfoliate, use bath salts after rinsing your body with cool water.
You can put the bath salts in a cloth bag and gently rub them on your skin in a steam sauna or shower.
It is also advisable to mix a small amount of bath salts with water to cleanse your face or add them to a tub of water for a quick face treatment.
When using bath salts for a bath, adults should use around 70 grams, while children should use 50 grams. Keep the soaking time between 15 to 30 minutes.
During soaking, perform a gentle massage, starting from your elbows and working your way to your chest, abdomen, and back. Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and apply your preferred skincare products.
Note that for oily skin, you can simply mix bath salts with water, while dry skin can benefit from mixing bath salts with water-soluble or mild oil massage cream. If you feel uncomfortable, rest in a warm, well-ventilated area.
Individuals with high blood pressure and poor heart function should avoid prolonged baths, maintain a moderate water temperature, and ensure the water level is not too high.
