The De Tian Waterfall, also known as the Ban Gioc Waterfall in Vietnam, is a majestic and spectacular natural wonder located in Detian Village, Shuolong Town, Daxin County, Chongzuo City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

This waterfall marks the border between China and Vietnam, and it is the first transnational waterfall in Asia and the fourth largest in the world.

The De Tian Waterfall is connected to the Pangyo Waterfall in Vietnam, which adds to its beauty and grandeur. The average annual water flow of the De Tian Waterfall is about three times that of the Huangguoshu Waterfall in Guizhou, a national AAAA tourist attraction in China.

In January 2016, the National Tourism Administration and the Ministry of Environmental Protection proposed to recognize the Dade Tian Scenic Area in Chongzuo City, Guangxi Autonomous Region as a national eco-tourism demonstration area.

If you plan to visit the De Tian Waterfall, there are several tour routes available.

For self-guided tours, you can take a special tour bus that leaves Nanning Langdong Station at 9 am every day, which takes you directly to the main entrance of the scenic area. However, there is a time limit, and you must return at 3:30 pm.

If you can't make it, you can take a bus to Daxin County bus station for a transfer. Another option is to take buses from Nanning North Bus Station to Daxin County, and then transfer to the De Tian Scenic Area.

For those who prefer self-drive tours, you can travel west along National Highway 324 (Fukun Line) from Nanning to Tanliao and turn left towards Daxin to Shuolong Town.

Then, go ahead for more than 10 kilometers to arrive, with bright winds along the way and eye-catching tourist signs on the roadside to show the way.

Along the way, you can enjoy the scenic Mingsi Field, Nabong Field, Duxiu Peak, Five Finger Peak, Immortal Mountain, Yaochi, and the Rock Forest on the water, which is known as the "Group of Heroes will be De Tian."

The ticket price for the De Tian Waterfall is affordable, with adults charged 80RMB/person, children between 1.2m-1.4m charged RMB50/person, and children under 1.2m allowed to enter for free. Local visitors to Daxin are charged only RMB10.

The best time to visit the De Tian Waterfall is from June to November, during the rainy season when the water is high and clear, making it the best time to enjoy the roaring of the waterfall.

During these months, the surrounding vegetation is lush and green, adding to the beauty of the waterfall. On the other hand, during the dry season, from December to May, the waterfall is low, and the rocks around the falls are exposed, making the view less effective.

The De Tian Waterfall is a natural wonder that should not be missed when visiting the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The waterfall is a testament to the beauty and grandeur of nature, and it offers an unforgettable experience for tourists. Whether you choose a self-guided or self-drive tour, be sure to plan your visit between June and November for the best experience.
