Cheesecake is a beloved dessert known for its creamy texture and rich flavor, making it a favorite at celebrations and gatherings. Its main ingredients—cream cheese, eggs, and sugar—provide a balance of protein and fat, while also being a source of calcium. However, it can be high in calories, so moderation is key.

Classic Cheesecake Recipe

Ingredients:

For the crust:

1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

½ cup granulated sugar

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

For the filling:

4 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

4 large eggs

1 cup sour cream

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (optional, for stability)

Production Steps:

1.Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).

2.Make the Crust: In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form a solid base. Bake for 10 minutes, remove and allow to cool.

3.Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the sugar and continue mixing until fully incorporated. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.

4.Incorporate Eggs: Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed just until blended after each addition. Be careful not to overmix. If using flour, add it now for added stability.

5.Add Sour Cream: Gently fold in the sour cream until just combined. This will add richness and moisture to the cheesecake.

6.Bake the Cheesecake: Pour the filling into the cooled crust. Bake for approximately one hour in a preheated oven, or until the center is still somewhat jiggly and the borders are set. After turning off the oven, open the door, and give the cheesecake an hour to cool within.

7.Chill: After it cools, refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to set completely.

8.Serve: Remove the cheesecake from the springform pan, slice, and enjoy! Top with fresh fruit or a fruit compote if desired.
