Hey Lykkers! We just returned from an unforgettable adventure at Grand Teton National Park, and we couldn’t wait to share every breathtaking moment with you.

If you’re dreaming of a trip where you can lose yourself in nature’s grandeur, keep reading—we’ve got all the details you need to plan your own epic journey.

Majestic Peaks and Scenic Wonders

Grand Teton National Park, located in northwestern Wyoming, is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. We started our exploration at the iconic Teton Range, where the jagged peaks seemed to pierce the sky. The park is renowned for its stunning mountain vistas, crystal-clear lakes, and lush valleys.

We kicked off our adventure with a hike up to Hidden Falls, a moderately challenging trek that rewarded us with a picturesque waterfall and panoramic views. For those interested in a more leisurely experience, the Jenny Lake Scenic Drive offers stunning vistas with minimal effort, perfect for families and casual visitors.

Essential Information for Your Visit

Grand Teton National Park is open year-round, but peak season runs from late June to early September, when the weather is ideal for outdoor activities. We visited in mid-August, and the temperatures were pleasantly warm during the day, though it did cool off considerably at night, so packing layers is essential.

The park’s main visitor centers—Craig Thomas Discovery and Jenny Lake—are open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. Entrance fees are $35 per vehicle, valid for seven days, making it an affordable getaway for extended stays. Annual passes are available for $70 if you plan to visit multiple times throughout the year.

Unforgettable Local Flavors

After a day of exploration, we found that local dining options are both delicious and satisfying. We had a fantastic meal at the historic Jenny Lake Lodge, where the menu features local game and fresh ingredients.

We tried the special burger, which was a highlight of our trip at around $18. Another great spot is the Moose, Wyoming’s favorite local eatery, known for its hearty breakfasts and cozy atmosphere. For a sweet treat, don’t miss out on a visit to the local bakery in Jackson Hole, where a slice of huckleberry pie—made with berries native to the area—costs about $8.

Tips for a Memorable Trip

To make the most of your visit, we recommend starting your days early to avoid crowds and secure parking at popular spots. Also, be sure to carry plenty of water and snacks, as some trailheads and viewpoints are quite remote. If you’re a photography enthusiast, the park offers incredible opportunities for capturing sunrise and sunset shots, especially from places like Oxbow Bend and Schwabacher's Landing.

Our time in Grand Teton National Park was nothing short of magical. Whether you’re hiking to hidden waterfalls or simply soaking in the views from a scenic overlook, the park’s natural beauty is sure to leave you inspired. We hope our experiences and tips help you plan your own adventure in this incredible destination. Happy travels, Lykkers!
