Take in The View at Spinnaker Tower

Spinnaker Tower is a landmark in Portsmouth’s waterfront skyline. You haven’t truly seen the coast, countryside, or city until you view them from the Tower. Its viewing decks, with floor-to-ceiling glass walls, offer stunning views up to 23 miles on a clear day.

These breathtaking views, including some of the most beautiful sights in the British Isles, make it a must-see on the south coast.

Your visit begins with a quick introduction to the Sail of The Solent. Then, take a high-speed lift traveling at 4 meters per second. In just 28 seconds, you’ll arrive at the viewing decks and see Portsmouth – The Great Waterfront City – in all its splendor.

From here, you can see the Historic Dockyard, HMS Victory, and Warrior, alongside the modern Naval fleet, set against the backdrop of the Solent, South Downs, and Isle of Wight. The views vary with the time of day, seasons, and weather, so every visit is unique.

Are you brave enough to step onto our glass Sky Walk? It’s in the middle of View Deck 1, 100 meters above the harbor. The Sky Walk is made of 3 layers of glass, just 60mm thick, but it can hold up to 288 stone—that’s like 2 black rhinos! Looking down through the glass gives you a unique view of the harbor below. Feel free to walk, jump, or even dance on it!

Next, head up to the Sky Garden. It’s open to the fresh sea air and offers a stunning view from our highest deck. Look up, and you might even spot our resident owl!
